On heals

Nether Mercy seems way off. You are taking the base effect of the heal in the skill description without taking into account how the skill works? The skill is a channeled AoE heal that ticks 6 times over 6 seconds for the indicated value. The formula you proposed does not take into account the ticks: 180-216 x5 is incorrect, it would be more like 1080-1296 x5 (6x ticks of initial value, x5 for party members). The downside to the skill, of course, is that it must be channeled on the spot and ticks over time like a HoT every second for 6 seconds. It also has a hard-to-determine radius because of its animation, but from limited testing it is about the same radius as Nether Fields upgraded radius. Keep in mind, also, that the Master Summoner's heal buff effects ALL heals, including those cast by other healers. Its defense buff is also incredibly powerful and cannot be understated. Sankhara is also missing a note, as it heals Vigor as well as HP, which is incredibly powerful. The DR also gets talisman talents that make its renew give 5% crit resist, and makes cure have a 45% chance to cure 30 Vigor, which again, is no small thing. Turboether 18:04, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

Acknowledged. That was a quick job, and it's just raw numbers. It misses actual explanation on the spells, and it's slanted towards sustained healing efficiency (i.e.: not going oom in a raid because you're not sure which spell you should use). It severely needs an introduction with healing mechanics and spell tips, but so far I do not know the 3 classes well enough to write one.

Maybe some disclaimer should be added. Thanks for your feedback G0rkam0rka 18:18, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

No worries! I'll write up something about how each of the healers 'work' and their intended 'role' by their mechanics. I'm not much of a math guy though, or I would have changed some of the formulas myself. Mana efficiency is almost a non-factor in Zentia... but that's another discussion entirely.
